Halter Training
One time visit to teach the young weanling basic haltering and leading.
Fees vary based on age and location of the colt.
Yearling Training
10 days of Training - Teaches the young horse the preliminary ground work. This includes haltering, leading, lounging in both directions at walk & trot, handling their feet, grooming, bathing, trailer loading and general desensitizing.
Yearling and Older Training
2 Weeks of Training - Teaches the young horse the preliminary ground work that includes haltering, leading, lounging in both directions at walk, trot & lope, handling their feet, grooming, bathing, trailer loading, general desensitizing and introduced to the saddle.
2 & 3 Year Old Training
3 Months of Training (90 days) - Teaches the young horse all of the above plus to work under saddle at the walk, trot, lope, back up, spin, stop and beginning stages of side passing at the trot. The horse will be well desensitized after the 90 days. Dwayne rides each horse in training for 1 hour a day for 6 days each week. After 70 days with the horse, this training includes a minimum of 5 riding lessons to get the Horse and Rider on the same page. After completion of the 90 days, the horse is ready to progress into multiple disciplines such as Reining, Working Cow Horse, Cowboy Dressage, etc. or just a well broke pleasure or trail horse.
